This event marked the fourth collaboration between the two groups. The first was in 2002 for the Winter Olympics. The 12 Days of Christmas gave the audience a grand visual display of music and of dance. The Bells on Temple Square, the Orchestra at Temple Square and the power of the Choir all added to the night's musical enchantment."It was unlike any other experience walking out onto that stage where you can park a 747 and looking around at this full symphony orchestra and backed up by perhaps the most incredible acapella group in the world--the Mormon Tabernacle Choir. It's hard enough for 6 of us to sing in time, but 360 people singing on the button. It's unbelievable, it's incredible, and so spiritually, it's a pinnacle."The concert continued the tradition of excellence set by the performances of Christmases past.The previous concert's album Spirit of the Season, with Norwegian signer Cecil, received two Grammy nominations--one for Best Engineered Album Classical and the other for Best Classical Crossover Album.The King's Singers concert will premier in the United States on broadcast television on PBS this Christmas and will also be released on DVD.
